DOMUNDOS · IBIZA

Car rental in Ibiza, delivered to your villa

Cars and scooters from our local partner: plain conditions and a real office on the island. Book below in a few clicks and pay the rental company directly. Collect at the airport meeting point or, on longer rentals, have it delivered to your villa.

Most of our villas sit in the hills or the countryside, and Ibiza is best explored on your own schedule. Taxis are scarce in high season, and public transport will not take you to the beach you actually want. A car is the difference between seeing the island and seeing the road to the supermarket, and a scooter suits the confident rider.

You book lower on this page, without leaving domundos.com.

What you get

Delivered to your villa

On rentals of 7 days or more, the vehicle is delivered to your villa, contactless, for €80 per trip. On shorter rentals, or if you prefer, collect it at the airport meeting point.

A real local office

Our partner is a family-run company founded in 1956, with a fleet of more than 500 cars and scooters, a staffed meeting point at the airport in season and offices in Sant Antoni and Sant Jordi. If something comes up, a person on the island answers the phone.

Plain conditions

Unlimited kilometres, 21% VAT included and no young-driver surcharge. The deposit, excess and cancellation terms are summarised lower on this page, and an optional All-in-One cover brings the excess to zero on most vehicles.

Why we chose this partner

We could have put any broker widget on this page. We chose our local partner Moto Luis instead, a family-run company based in Sant Antoni and founded in 1956, with a fleet of more than 500 vehicles. Its conditions are written in plain language, and its people pick up the phone. That is the standard we hold our own business to, so it is the standard we ask of partners.

Booked via our partner. Car and scooter hire on this page is provided by Moto Luis. Your reservation, payment and rental agreement are made directly with Moto Luis and are governed by their rental terms and conditions. Domundos is not a party to the rental contract. We may receive a commission from Moto Luis at no extra cost to you.

Before you book: the conditions that matter

This is our summary of the rental company’s key conditions as of 6 October 2026; the full official document is always the binding version.

  • Included in every rental: unlimited kilometres, 21% VAT, insurance with excess, no young-driver surcharge, 24-hour contracts, and two helmets with every scooter.
  • Driver age and licence (cars): 21 years with 2 years of licence for small cars, 23 with 3 years for medium cars, 25 with 5 years for everything else. The licence must be valid in Spain, and a licence issued outside the EU, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein needs an International Driving Permit alongside it.
  • Scooters: riding experience is required; without it the rental company can cancel the booking and charge two days of rental. Whether a category B car licence covers a 125cc scooter depends on your home country’s rules, and riders from outside Europe need an A-category licence plus an International Driving Permit, so check before you book.
  • Deposit and excess: a credit card is the normal guarantee, even if you pay in cash. The excess is charged to the card on the first day and refunded within 72 business hours after a return with no new damage and a full tank: €250 for scooters, €600 for small cars, €700 for medium cars, €1,000 for some premium models and €2,000 for the rest. With a debit card an extra deposit of €100 to €500 applies.
  • All-in-One cover: €8 to €40 per day depending on the vehicle. The excess drops to zero (8 and 9-seaters keep a €500 excess) and roadside assistance during business hours is included, though not for negligence or misuse. Stricter age rules apply: 25 with 3 years of licence for small and medium cars, 30 with 5 years for the rest.
  • Fuel and charge: full to full. If you return it short, you pay the missing litres plus a €25 refuelling fee; for scooters, €2 per missing fuel bar plus a €10 fee. Electric cars come back with at least 50% charge, and you top up AdBlue if the car asks for it.
  • Cancellation: from June to September, free up to 7 days before arrival; after that, two days of rental are charged. In winter, April, May and October, free up to 72 hours before arrival; after that, one day for small and medium cars and scooters, two days for other vehicles. Date changes follow the same deadlines.
  • Extending or returning early: an extension is possible with 48 hours’ notice at the rate of the day, subject to availability. An early return with 72 hours’ notice is refunded for the unused days, except for special vehicles such as 4x4s, automatics, convertibles, vans and luxury cars.
  • Villa delivery and airport pick-up: for rentals of 7 days or more, delivery to your villa is contactless and costs €80 per trip; on the return day the key is left at the agreed place by 09:00, and a last-minute switch from villa to airport return is not refunded. At the airport the meeting point is parking P1N, space 384, self-service and contactless in low season, with an airport service fee of €15 to €20 (€40 at the private airport) and evening and night surcharges from 19:00 of €10 to €30 depending on the hour.
  • Extras: an extra driver or a booster seat costs €4 per day (maximum €40), a child or baby seat €6 per day (maximum €60).
  • Never covered by any insurance: wrong fuel, lost keys, helmets or charging cables, saltwater and pool damage, locking the key in the vehicle, tyre and wheel damage without the All-in-One cover, and taking any vehicle to Formentera, which is not permitted at all.

Questions guests ask

Do I really need a car in Ibiza?

In most cases, yes. Our villas mostly sit in the hills or the countryside, taxis are scarce in high season, and public transport will not take you to the beach you actually want. A car lets you explore on your own schedule, and a scooter suits a confident rider.

Can the car be delivered to my villa?

Yes, on rentals of 7 days or more. The vehicle is delivered to your villa, contactless, for €80 per trip. On shorter rentals, collect it at the airport meeting point (parking P1N, space 384) or at another pick-up point offered in the booking form.

Which driving licence do I need, and do I need an International Driving Permit?

For cars, the minimum is age 21 with 2 years of licence for small cars, 23 with 3 years for medium cars and 25 with 5 years for everything else. The licence must be valid in Spain, and a licence issued outside the EU, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein needs an International Driving Permit alongside it. Check the rules for your home country before you travel.

Can I take the car or scooter to Formentera?

No. Taking any vehicle to Formentera is not permitted at all, and it is among the things no insurance covers. If Formentera is on your list, leave the car or scooter on Ibiza and travel there without it. The full list of exclusions is in the conditions summary on this page.

How much is the deposit and the excess?

A credit card is the normal guarantee. The excess is charged to the card on the first day and refunded within 72 business hours after a return with no new damage and a full tank: €250 for scooters, €600 for small cars, €700 for medium cars and up to €2,000 for the rest. With a debit card an extra deposit of €100 to €500 applies. The optional All-in-One cover brings the excess to zero on most vehicles.

Is a scooter a good idea?

It can be, if you are a confident rider. Riding experience is required, and without it the booking can be cancelled with two days of rental charged. Whether a category B car licence covers a 125cc scooter depends on the rules of your home country, so check before you book. Every scooter comes with two helmets, and the excess starts at €250.

What happens if I arrive late in the evening?

Airport pick-ups from 19:00 carry an evening or night surcharge of €10 to €30 depending on the hour, so allow for it if your flight lands late. The meeting point is parking P1N, space 384; in low season the handover there is contactless and self-service. On rentals of 7 days or more, contactless delivery to your villa for €80 per trip is the other option.

Choose your dates and pick-up point in the form above, and the confirmation arrives by email. For anything else around your stay, we are happy to help.
