Frequently asked questions
How often should an AC unit be cleaned in Ibiza?
Once a year, before the season starts, is enough for most villas. Units that run constantly through summer, or villas near the coast, often benefit from a check midway through the season too.
Why does my air conditioning leak water?
Most often a blocked condensate drain. Dust and mould build up in the line until it can no longer clear the water the unit produces, and it overflows into the room instead. A dirty filter can also ice up the coil, which then drips as it thaws.
Is this covered by my existing villa management or cleaning contract?
Usually not. Air conditioning cleaning typically sits outside standard management and cleaning contracts, which is why we offer it separately.
Do you handle refrigerant top-ups or repairs?
No. This is a cleaning service: filters, coils, drain lines and a performance check. Refrigerant work needs separate F-Gas certified engineers.

Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, LG, Panasonic and most other split-unit systems found in Ibiza villas.
Do I need to be a Domundos client to use this?
No. This service is open to any villa or property owner in Ibiza, whether or not we manage your property.
How is a villa with several units priced?
Per unit: €80 + VAT for an indoor unit clean, €110 + VAT for a full clean including the outdoor unit, with no minimum call-out, no travel fee and no discount for multiple units.
Indoor clean or full clean: which one do I need?
The indoor clean deals with what guests notice: smells, weak airflow and dripping come from the filter, evaporator coil and drain line. Choose the full clean once a year, or when the outdoor unit sits in dust, sea air or under trees: a clogged condenser makes the system work harder and cool less.
