1. Who we are
This website, domundos.com, is operated by Domundos OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17237634, VAT number EE102866139) with a local office in Santa Eulària des Riu, Ibiza. Domundos manages holiday villas in Ibiza on behalf of their owners. It does not own the villas it markets.
If you have any question about this policy, write to info@domundos.com.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit. Similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, work in a comparable way. In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.
Cookies can be first-party (set by domundos.com) or third-party (set by another company whose service we use, such as Google). They can be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
3. How we use cookies
We use four categories of cookies. The banner that appears on your first visit lets you accept all, reject all, or choose per category. Necessary cookies cannot be switched off because the website does not work without them. All other categories are off until you switch them on.
Necessary
These cookies are needed to run the website and to keep it secure. They remember your cookie choices, remember the language version you selected, and protect our forms against automated abuse. They are set on the basis of Article 22.2 of the Spanish Information Society Services Act (LSSI), which exempts cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for.
Functional
These cookies remember choices you make so that we can offer you a better experience, for example whether you have already dismissed a newsletter sign-up window. They are set only with your consent.
Analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the website so that we can improve it. We use two tools.
Google Analytics 4 is loaded through Google’s tag (Google Tag Manager or the Google tag inserted by the Site Kit plugin). It sets the _ga cookies listed below, but only after you consent to analytics cookies. We use Google Consent Mode v2. This means that all Google consent signals are set to “denied” when a page loads. While they are denied, Google Analytics sets no cookies and does not read any. Google may still receive cookieless pings, which are minimal signals without identifiers, and use them only for aggregated statistical modelling. When you accept analytics cookies, the signals are updated to “granted” and the cookies in the table are set. If you later withdraw consent, they are no longer set or read.
Umami is a self-hosted, open source analytics tool that runs on our own server at analytics.rensranks.dev. Umami is cookieless. It does not set or read any cookie, does not store personal data, and cannot identify you across websites. It records page views, referrer, browser, device type and country in aggregated form. Because no cookie is used and no personal data is stored, it runs without a consent toggle. It is listed here for transparency.
Marketing
Marketing cookies are used to show advertising that is relevant to you and to measure advertising campaigns. We do not currently set any marketing cookies. If we embed third-party content in future, for example a video player or a map, that provider may set marketing cookies, and only after you consent to this category. We will update this policy and the cookie table before doing so.
4. Cookie table
| Cookie | Set by | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookieyes-consent | domundos.com (CookieYes plugin) | Necessary | Stores your consent choices per category so that the banner does not reappear and so that scripts respect your choice. Contains no personal data. | 1 year |
| pll_language | domundos.com (Polylang) | Necessary | Remembers the language you selected (English, Spanish, Dutch, German or Catalan) so that the right version is shown on your next visit. Set as a result of your own choice of language. | 1 year |
| wordpress_test_cookie | domundos.com (WordPress) | Necessary | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies. It is set only on the WordPress login screen, so ordinary visitors do not normally receive it. | Session |
| _GRECAPTCHA | google.com (Google reCAPTCHA) | Necessary (security) | Set by Google when the reCAPTCHA script loads on pages with our enquiry, reservation and contact forms. It is used for risk analysis to tell people from automated bots. Google describes it as a necessary cookie for this purpose. | 6 months |
| _ga | domundos.com (Google Analytics 4) | Analytics | Distinguishes visitors by assigning a random identifier. Set only after you consent to analytics cookies. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | domundos.com (Google Analytics 4) | Analytics | Keeps the session state for the Google Analytics property. Set only after you consent to analytics cookies. | 2 years |
| popup_form_dismissed | domundos.com (MailPoet) | Functional | Remembers that you closed a newsletter sign-up window so that it is not shown again for a while. Only used if a pop-up form is active. | Set by the form’s “show form every” setting |
| mailpoet_page_view | domundos.com (MailPoet) | Analytics | Records page views of newsletter subscribers to measure engagement. Only set if engagement tracking is switched to “Full” in MailPoet. | Does not expire |
Notes on the table
MailPoet’s mailpoet_subscriber and mailpoet_revenue_tracking cookies are only used with WooCommerce shop tracking. This website has no shop, so they are not set.
Umami sets no cookies.
Third-party cookies are set by the third party, not by us. Google’s use of data is described in Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and in its page on how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. If you accept a third-party cookie and later want to remove it, you can do so through your browser settings.
5. How to change or withdraw your consent
You can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- Use the cookie icon. A small “cookie settings” icon stays visible in the bottom corner of every page. Click it to reopen the preference centre, switch categories on or off, and save.
- Use the link in the footer. The “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page reopens the same preference centre.
- Use your browser. Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the website from working. Instructions for the most common browsers are available from their makers, for example Chrome (support.google.com/chrome), Safari (support.apple.com), Firefox (support.mozilla.org) and Edge (support.microsoft.com).
Your consent choice is stored for 12 months. After that, or after we make a material change to the cookies we use, the banner will ask you again. The Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) recommends that consent for cookies is renewed at least every 24 months.
6. Personal data and international transfers
Some cookies process personal data, such as a pseudonymous identifier or your IP address. The way we handle personal data, the companies that process it for us, the safeguards used when data leaves the European Economic Area, how long we keep it and your rights are all described in our Privacy Policy. In short: Google Ireland Limited provides Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and reCAPTCHA; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Umami data stays on our own server.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add or remove cookies or when the law or guidance changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change means we need your consent again, the banner will ask you.
